What is a tree?
I’m watching lots of dramas nowadays and visited my local DVDs and video shops almost at least 3 times a week! Everyday I strive very hard to find reasons to be happy. Some days are hard, VERY hard. Some days are easy to pass by. Some days I think a lot. Some days I am at peace. But ‘peace’ is like an elusive butterfly. Sometimes it is there; sometimes it is not. And when it is not there, it is pure suffering. I know this might be an excuse. But while engrossed in good dramas, I was like being transported to another world.
In November, I met a mentor who told me to seek the answers I am looking for from the trees in the garden, from the butterflies flying in the air, and from children.
I asked the kid in my house today, what is a tree.
The boy said, “don’t know”
“What is a dog?” I asked.
“Don’t know…”
“What is a butterfly?”
“Don’t know…”
I was so surprised by boy boy’s answers. It seems like Master is right. Children, they have a lot to teach us. These are the answers Master is looking for, but it does not end here…
I like to share with you today an inspiring article i just read, there is this couple who were inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40: “Whatever you have done for one of the least of my brothers, you have done for me.” And you know what they did? They reach out to the needy and opened a soup kitchen downtown to provide a meal and share their faith. Read full article here. I’m so touched by their kindness!
